Vintage Shop Indicator Servant Call Box Bell

A charming and unusual vintage wooden office indicator box, likely dating to the early–mid 20th century. The front features two original labelled windows reading “Sub Manager” and “Assistant Manager,” each with a circular lens beneath, suggesting it functioned as a simple internal signalling or call system—possibly used in an office, workshop, or retail environment.

The piece is well made with a solid wooden case, dovetail joints, and a hinged side panel for access. The lenses and label holders appear original, with a rich patina that adds to its character. It would make an excellent decorative piece for an office, study, or retail display, and would particularly appeal to collectors of industrial, workplace, or communication antiques.

Condition is good vintage condition with expected wear consistent with age and use. There are surface marks, scuffs, and some wear to the finish, particularly along the lower edges. The labels are aged but legible, and the internal mechanism is untested, so it is sold as a decorative item.

Dimensions are approximately H: 14 cm x L: 17.7 x W: 7.6 cm.

Era is estimated early to mid 20th century, circa 1920s–1940s.
