History of this tape recorder: It was donated as broken. I am an electronics repair technician who (like most others) is dealing with job loss. I properly repaired this unit by replacing the drive belts, cleaning the play/record switch, and volume control, and modifying a Panasonic adapter to work with this Sony tape recorder. There was slight evidence of corrosion on one battery terminal (pictured) that also needed cleaning. There is still evidence of previous corrosion, but it doesn't affect the operation of this tape recorder. It's now working very well and will be safe and reliable.

All shipments must have delivery confirmation. We have found that simply adding delivery confirmation greatly reduces the number of "Item Not Received" claims. Canadian residents must pay 13% Ontario HST. We know that is unpleasant, but unfortunately, that's the law here.
