Gibson Custom Shop Hand Selected 1959 Les Paul Standard R-Top Vintage Gloss Dark Cherry Sunburst
We have received an R9 featuring an R-Top, selected during a Japan dealer's business trip in October 2024!
The color is "Dark Cherry Sunburst" with a Vintage Gloss finish.
The crisp, slender flame pattern spreads across the entire surface, creating a very luxurious and attractive look.
The pickups are Custombucker "Double Classic White" with Alnico 4 magnets.
The bridge pickup is overwound compared to the neck pickup.
Compared to a standard Custombucker using Alnico 3, it has a higher output, and the powerful, resonant tone with a strong, sustained sound, combined with the brightness of a coverless design, results in a rich and full-bodied sound that is very pleasing to the ear.
The body top is an R-Top, selected from carefully chosen wood, with a one-piece mahogany back.
The neck is solid mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The set neck has a deep joint (long tenon) and is glued with hide glue.
The hardware includes Kluson Single Line/Single Ring components, a non-wired ABR-1 Bridge, and a Lightweight Aluminum Stop Bar, along with other historic parts.
The neck shape is a comfortable "Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape," the frets are "Historic Medium-Jumbo," and the rolled binding replicates the look of a well-played guitar, resulting in exceptional playability.
