The history of El Lácara begins in 1984 in the town of Cordobilla de Lácara, in the heart of Extremadura, when a group of farmers decided to join forces to create a cooperative and manage the production of their own olive groves. Since its inception, the company has been linked to the native Verdial de Badajoz variety, a symbol of identity and quality in the region. Over the years, the cooperative has grown to approximately 350 members and manages approximately 1,600 hectares of olive groves. In 1997, it began an important process of conversion to organic farming, committing to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. Today, El Lácara is a leader in the production of organic extra virgin olive oil, combining tradition, innovation and a commitment to quality.
