Antique/vintage Noritake hand painted demitasse tea set featuring pink cherry blossoms on a powder blue ground with gilt trim. Marked with the early green Noritake wreath M Handpainted Made in Japan backstamp, dating approximately 1920s–1930s. Lovely collector’s set in miniature size.
This is a small-size / demitasse set, ideal for espresso, after-dinner coffee, tea service, display, or collectors of Japanese porcelain.
Includes:
• Teapot (no lid) – approx. 5.25" wide x 2.5" high
• Sugar bowl with lid – approx. 4" wide x 2.5" high
• Creamer – approx. 3.25" wide x 1.75" high
• 4 cups – approx. 3" wide. Cup holds 2.6 fluid ounces (1/3 cup)
• 6 matching saucers (with cup depression) no back stamp: 4.5" wide
• 5 saucers (no depression in center) with green back stamp: 4.75"
Condition:
VERY GOOD vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted.
Light wear to gold trim consistent with age.
