DAMAGE AND INSURANCE. We apologize that you received a damaged item, despite our careful packaging. We have taken out insurance. Please send us photos of the damaged items. Please take into account that you may lose the item(s), that the postal service may confiscate it, or that we may ask you to return it. MY ITEM ARRIVED DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING. Items shipped by post are insured by the postal service. You must report damage to us and to your local post office. They will provide you with a claim form to submit your claim. Claims are not processed by the Dutch postal insurance or by us without a (verbal) claim form from the receiving postal service. This form is internationally known as a CN24 form. I advise you to contact the postal service first to inquire about the procedure, so that you do not have to go to the post office unnecessarily. If they say that we must file the claim, we are aware of that. However, if we submit the claim, the insurance company requires proof from the postal authorities in your country that the item was actually damaged during transport. That proof is form CN24. Keep the box, the damaged items, the packaging material, and the shipping documents for inspection by the postal staff. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to send us an email.
The photos we need of the damage:
- the entire packaging with visible address and barcode
- if possible, a detailed photo of the damage to the packaging
- one or more photos of the damaged item in its entirety
- one or more detailed photos of the damage
- one or more photos clearly showing the inside of the packaging
- a close-up photo of the address with barcode
FOR DAMAGED ITEMS IN THE US: You must initiate an investigation before submitting a claim. You can start an inquiry by calling the International Inquiry Center.
