This is a WR Brown pneumatic vise; 4 in Jaws. It has some damage to the jaws; please look at the pics.

Although I do not know much about these vises, I tested this one and here is what I found:
--The vise is pneumatic and needs about 100 psi to work well.
--This is a production milling or drilling vise that is used to make repetitive cuts or holes to small stock.
--It is used in conjunction with a foot valve or something. It is open aprox. 2 in. when at rest.
--When activated by air, it slides forward aprox. 3/4 in in order to grip a piece of work. When air is shut off, it slides back to its original position.
--If the work piece is smaller than optimum size, the vise can be set up with additional jaw pads (not included).

Yes, I did find some damage to the jaws, mostly one side (see pics, but for most work, I do not think this would be an issue. See for yourself.

There is a grease fitting on the moving jaw.
