For Sale, I have a 1 String Cigar Box style Diddley Bass, made using a Steven Brown Shortbread Tin, a few lengths of pine and several guitar parts.

The body is a rather beautiful Shortbread tin with highland cow artwork by Steven Brown on the lid and is 10.5 long, 8 inches wide and 2 inches thick. The overall length of the bass is 41.5 inches and has a scale length of 35.5 inches at its longest, but can be shortened by moving the thick bolt I have used as a bridge piece.

The neck is made of a length of pine which runs the total length of the body is secured at the body by screws through the top and bottom of the tin and at the tail end through the hinge which serves as the tailpiece. on the inside of the tin is a single 25mm Piezo pickup glued to the underside of the tin lid and wired directly into a standard jack socket, also mounted on the tin lid.

The single string is an Ernie Ball 135 gauge Bass String and is anchored to the body using a single open geared bass machine head at the neck and a single hinge at the body and rests on a single flat head screw which serves as the nut.

Due to the size of this Bass, I will be shipping it via Parcelforce 48 in order to ensure a fast and safe delivery. If you are purchasing more than one of my instruments of other items, I can combine them into a single parcel and save you some cash.

If you like my guitars, but do not see something specific you like, I can, at an agreed price, build something more bespoke upon request. Feel free to contact me with any enquiries, I will be making a listing specifically for bespoke builds in the near future, but please note my building period for the year is April to September, its a bit cold and wet for the rest of the year for me to build effectively.

If you have any questions, please ask away.

Happy Shopping.
