A handsome antique mantel clock sadly not working properly so selling spares and repairs.
with classical styling and an 8-day mechanical movement.
The brass mechanism is stamped “168” and also with large star which has the initial J and words unghans Wurttemberg B42.

though no maker’s name is visible on the case.
The clock strikes hourly when running as it should. There is no key however.
The case is in a dark hardwood with a rich patina,
and the Roman numeral dial adds to its period charm.
A fine example for collectors or those seeking a decorative,
timepiece with historical character.

Condition Report:
This clock is offered as seen and displays age-related wear throughout.
The wooden case shows numerous
scuffs, scratches, and areas of lacquer loss,
as consistent with its usage & age.
The rear chime coil has surface rust.
The dial as seen also has several black marks and blemishes,
the wooden arch above the door can be removed.
Functionality:
The clock and strike mechanism. One wind correctly and the other is stiff and doesn’t move.
Once the pendulum is attached it runs for a few minutes then gradually stops
possibly due to an unbalanced pendulum or other issue.
The hourly strike is currently out of sync with the correct time.
My own knowledge of clock mechanics is limited,
so no attempts have been made to adjust or repair the movement.
A professional service and general TLC are strongly recommended.
Offered as a not fully working clock,
suitable for restoration
spares, or as a decorative antique.
