This is a very beautiful and colorful antique Dutch Frisian sampler, showing various alphabets with letters in typical Frisian style.

It is stitched with silk thread on linen cloth.

The sampler is dated 1789.

It measures approximately 19 1/4 x 11 inch or 49 x 28 cm.

The sampler is in good condition, considering its age. The cloth has a few small spots on it and is a bit discolored in some places. There are a few small loose threads and there is some minor color run near the bottom right corner. Please see photos.
