I got this recently at a local estate sale. I'm assuming it is Victorian, carved from agate, depicting a Grecian warrior/soldier. I'm also assuming that it is adorned with seed pearls. There appears to be a strip of gold soldered on the inside band as a sort of splint, presumably to prevent a small crack from spreading. The band has some designs engraved into it. It is not marked, but with my acid test kit it presents as 10 karat. The cameo is somewhat loose and could benefit from having the prongs tightened. Overall it is a sweet little piece that could be worn, displayed in a collection or purchased as an investment. See photos for details.
