Standard cameras switch to black and white at night, making it impossible to identify clothing, vehicle colours, or faces. ColorVu uses an F1.0 aperture lens — the widest available on a security camera — combined with white light illumination to keep every frame in full colour, around the clock. At 0.0003 Lux minimum illumination, it captures colour detail in near-total darkness where the human eye sees nothing.

F1.0 is one of the widest security camera apertures available — allowing far more light to the sensor than standard F1.6 or F2.0 lenses, delivering cleaner images in extreme low light.
Significantly sharper than 1080p Full HD. More pixels per frame allows digital zoom into recorded footage while retaining identifiable detail — faces, plates, clothing.
Handles extreme contrast — bright entrances, sunset scenes, and car park lighting — simultaneously exposing highlights and shadows correctly in a single frame.
Built-in white LEDs illuminate up to 40 metres at night — lighting the scene in colour, which also acts as a visible deterrent. Auto or solid (alarm) mode available.
On motion, the white light switches from auto to solid full-brightness — instantly flooding the scene as a warning. Active deterrence with no additional hardware required.
PoC allows the camera to be powered through the same coax cable as the video signal. No separate power cable needed — ideal for existing coax infrastructure.
Operates and starts up reliably from -40°C to 50°C — suitable for unheated outdoor locations, cold stores, and northern climate winter conditions.
