1920’s Cast Iron Bookends Handpainted Enamel Finish Oval Shape Basket Filled With Flowers Motif - A Pair.
These cast iron bookends have a hand-painted enamel finish. The oval shape showcases a brown handled hanging basket filled with yellow, pink, and red flowers with green leaves all around. They were designed with a felt-covered bottom to protect surfaces.
While several foundries produced similar cast iron decorative items during this era, some are attributed to well-known makers like Judd or Hubley. There is no Maker’s Mark on these bookends.
