The Berny model T2596 wristwatch is a 72g ultalightweight yet rugged military style timepiece. The foundation of the timepiece is a 37mm x 10mm x 43mm non-reflective matte finished solid titanium case with a fixed beveled titanium bezel securing a 35mm flat scratch resistant sapphire crystal lens with anti-reflective coating. The dark blue dial is encircled by an applied white 60 minute scale with raised white BGW9 luminous numerals placed on a sunray textured background in 5 minute intervals with a triangle pointer at 12 o'clock. A smaller inner scale of applied white luminous numerals display the 13 to 24 hour military time. The hour and minute are indicated by white lumin covered sword shaped hands combined with a thin red secondhand. The case is enclosed by a waterproof titanium caseback creating a water resistance rated to a depth of 50 meters (5 ATM) providing sufficient protection for outdoor field activites including rain and bathing. The watch is paired with a blue 2 piece durable nylon canvas strap secured with a titanium pin and buckle clasp comfortably fitting wrists up to 190mm (7.48in). The timepiece is powered by a high quality Seiko caliber VH31 2 jewel hybrid mechaquartz movement which combines the functionality of a mechanical watch with the accuracy of a quartz regulated movment and requires no winding.  The VH31 caliber provides an estimated 3 year battery life with +/- 15 seconds a month accuracy. The movement runs at a 32,768 Hz frequency equal to a 14,400 bph (beats per hour) rate providing excellent stable accuracy. The hybrid movement also includes a stop-second device which freezes the second hand during time setting allowing precise adjustment to the exact second.
