For Sale: Continental Black Silk Top Hat Sz 7¼

I understand that Silk Top Hats ceased being made in 1956 due to the closure of a factory in France that produced this special type of silk, making good examples increasingly scarce.

The Hat fits approx size 7¼ head and stands 5½” high. The hole for your head is 8¼” at widest, 6¾” at narrowest & 23¼” around inner circumference.

Exterior: The hat is in very good condition, with a 1½” black material band around it.

Interior: Is in very good condition with leather inner band. Inside the hat is marked for “Meisterstopf, Elberfeld.”

Would suit collector or Ascot racegoer alike providing more of a talking point than a modern reproduction!

This hat is in good overall condition & will make an investment now & for the future. (624)
