This antique piece is incredible still wearable, with some tender loving care! Made from an ivory (almost vanilla) colored semi-sheer silk crepe fabric, this blouse features a scoop style neckline, tabard style cut, and full length sleeves. The neckline and other areas of crepe silk have been finished with a 'faggotting' style edging. The sleeves feature satin fabric cuffs. Waistline and hem edges feature a milk glass beaded net trim with circular theme. Inner waist has a silk, lightweight waist-binder or corset (of sorts) with tiny, lightweight boning or stays. Bodice closes via a side opening with metal snaps, and cuffs also have snap closures (all original snaps have been replaced). There is a small numbered label at back neckline, indicating this piece was once part of a collection, or archive, possibly by a museum or costume rental company. No other labels present. Overall condition is excellent to very good, with many small hole repairs throughout; mainly at underarms, plus some other areas. One small hole area at back neckline that has been left un-repaired, and you will find a few odd-colored seed beads mixed into the trim. Some shattering to silk 'corset'.
