I read reviews saying the metal part separates from the silicone ring and it moves out of place easily. Is that true?
Many customers have noted that the silicone edge may detach if stepped on frequently. If you anticipate regular foot traffic over it, we recommend permanently securing the silicone edge to the metal body with strong adhesive.
Can Ultra ShowerRing cause water to back up in my shower?
Like any hair catcher, if it gets heavily laden with hair and soap scum, it can impede water flow. However, its design aims to allow free water flow when clean. Regular cleaning is essential to prevent slowdowns.
Can it be used on a pop-up drain?
No — the Ultra ShowerRing isn’t designed for pop-up style drains. But we do offer its sister product, TubRing, which was specifically created to fit securely around a pop-up drain stopper and stop hair from slipping through.
Can it trap dog hair well?
Yes — it’s designed to catch shedding fur without blocking water flow, making dog baths cleaner and easier. Our founder even developed this brand after struggling with her own dog’s hair clogging the drain.
Will you be offering replacement silicone edges as a separate pack in the future?
We’ve heard this request from customers and are exploring launching a pack of silicone edge replacements. For now, every Ultra ShowerRing already comes with an extra silicone edge included but a refill pack may be added in the future.
