John Fery (1859–1934) was a Hungarian-born painter who became one of the most widely viewed artists of his era. Born Johann Levy and trained in Vienna, Munich, and Düsseldorf, Fery immigrated to America and gained prominence through a landmark commission with the Great Northern Railway in 1910. Hired by railway president Louis W. Hill to promote the "See America First" campaign, Fery spent summers sketching in Glacier National Park and winters creating finished paintings—producing 347 works for the railroad by 1913. His monumental landscapes of Bear at Swift Current Falls, Chief Mountain Glacier Park, Iceberg Lake Glacier, Jackson Lake Wyoming, Lake Josephine, Moose Lake McDonald, and St. Mary's Lake were displayed in train stations and prominent buildings across twenty-five states and beyond, reaching more Americans than nearly any contemporary artist. Fery's legacy captures the majesty of the American West during the early twentieth century.

Float Framed Canvas is a narrow black wooden frame around a stretched canvas. There is a small gap between the canvas and frame making the canvas appear to float. It is of course secured firmly at the back. Arrives in a box ready to hang.
