Vintage/Antique cut glass lay down perfume bottle with an
integrated glass dauber (or applicator). This style of bottle was popular during
the Art Deco era, particularly I the 1920s through the 1950s. This particular
bottle’s teardrop shape and detailed cutting are also characteristic of the Art
Nouveau and Edwardian periods, where ornate designs were highly favored. The
bottle is made of clear, cut crystal or glass, featuring intricate facets that
readily catch the light. It has a tapered, icicle-like shape and is designed to
lay flat. The applicator includes a stopper used to apply perfume to the skin.
Beautiful for the vanity or display items particularly since
this piece is in very good condition. Such
bottles were often made by skilled glass artisans, and their survival in good
condition makes them desirable collectables today.
Condition: Bottle and
dabber are in excellent antique condition. There is a tiny chip at the top of the dabber that is barely noticeable. The photos of the dabber make it appear as if
there are other chips, but these are NOT chips. They are instead slight indentations on
either part of the dabber and is part of its beauty.
Approximate measurements: Length with dabber 7”, Without
dabber- 6.25”, Diameter at widest area- 1.25”. Weight 2.5 Oz.
