is the 2nd.studio album by British rock band The Police, released on October 2, 1979.

It was their first album to reach number one in the UK and is known for blending new wave with reggae influences, featuring hit singles "Message in a Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon"

I was a club DJ during the 1970s and 1980s in the UK, and always bought the latest LPs as soon as they were released.

As soon as I got them home I would copy them onto cassette for general use so most of my vinyl only ever got one or two plays on the turntable.

I moved to California in 1995 and then to Texas in 2012. My entire 2000 plus treasured vinyl collection followed me around the world and has been meticulously stored upright in a climate controlled environment for the last forty years or so.
