This is an authentic and highly rare 2000s-era joint Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) challenge coin. It is a "Mission-Specific" piece issued in limited numbers to Joint Task Force personell.  This is an operational-era piece representing the height of global strategic surveillance programs.

​NRO side features the National Reconnaissance Office seal with a satellite in a polar orbit. Note the distinct "Red Eye" sensor, representing the Persistent Surveillance / MASINT mission.

​CIA side displays the CIA seal and the silhouette of a U-2 Dragon Lady high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft.

​The "Axis of Evil" Targeting Map: This rare early variant features three precision crosshairs targeting Iraq, Afghanistan, and North Korea.
