Beautiful hand-thrown salt-glazed stoneware pitcher, signed and dated ’92 by the artist (incised signature on the base, see photos). The pitcher is decorated with a traditional cobalt blue leaf/branch motif on a gray stoneware body, reminiscent of Westerwald and American salt-glaze revival pottery of the late 20th century.

In addition to the incised signature, the piece features an impressed potter’s mark near the lower rim — a stylized flower or rosette form (see close-up photo). This confirms the work as studio pottery rather than factory production.

A wonderful piece of decorative stoneware with both collectible and functional appeal.
