This really nice, and very rare, N Scale train pack by Kato is 10-437 & 10-438 a JNR 415 Series EMU 8 car set in white and blue livery.

The 415 series is a dual-voltage AC/DC outer-suburban electric multiple unit (EMU) train type introduced in 1971 by Japanese National Railways (JNR), and later operated in Japan by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu), and West Japan Railway Company (JR-West).

The 415 series was introduced in 1971, and has since spawned six variants, 415-0 series to the 415-1500 Series. The 415-100 Series was introduced in 1978, and most of the trains are operated by JR Kyushu, although a few trainsets were operated by JR East on the Jōban Line (the latter were withdrawn in March 2007,  in favour of the E531 series trains).

Some remain in operation with JR Kyushu.

The train pack is in very good condition as you can see in the pictures, it is tested and the power car runs well, with working lights on both leading car cars. A complete external visual inspection has shown the overall condition is very good. It comes complete with its box. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition, the outer sleeves are not in great condition.

Overall this is a really nice scale train pack and would look fantastic on a layout.

Do please have a look at our other listings, we typically have various HO and OO locos on offer as well as an extensive range of imported N gauge locos and other items.

Note: We recommend all locos are cleaned & serviced, as they have some age to them even if the quality looks at the highest level (fairly standard advice for all locos!).
