Fantastic Wedgewood, Gold Chelsea, set of 8 tea or coffee cups and saucers.

Gold Chelsea, was designed by Wedgewood's In House designers, and was developed as a timeless and classic service, that was defined by its elegance and minimalist aesthetic, made from pure white fine bone china, featuring a spiral or ribbed design on the body or edge of the pieces, and all have a real 22 carat gold painted line along the rim. This was produced between 1983 and 1987.

Because of the real gold on the rim, these must be handwashed and cannot be put in the dishwasher.
The gold is on the outer rim of each saucer and at the edge where you sip of each cup.
These must have been painted by different people/ teams, as some of the cups have a 70 and others a 4 stamped in black on the base at the very edge; and the saucers have either 70 or 173 stamped in gold at the edge of the rim.

Measurements:
Cups - approx 3" /7cm tall, approx 5"/12.5cm from edge to widest point of handle, with outer circular rim of the cup measuring approx 3.5"/8.5cm across, and hold approx 8 fluid ounces/225ml up to the rim.
Saucers -approx 5.75"/14.5cm across

These weigh 302g each cup and saucer, so before packing, these weigh virtually 2.5kg.

This cups and saucers are in fantastic condition, with no signs of having been used and the gold rim is in perfect condition with no paint loss. These have been on display in a cabinet.

My photos show an accurate and genuine representation of my cups and saucers, and I do have other pieces in this set that I will be listing as I get chance. If there is anything in particular you are looking for, please get in touch and I will do my best to help.

I always pack extremely carefully and try to send out as soon as possible after purchase.
