Extremely rare and highly collectible large original first printing Santana promotional poster issued by CBS/Sony Inc. in Japan in 1974 to promote the release of the Borboletta album – their sixth studio album, produced by Carlos Santana with Michael Shrieve and Tom Coster, and originally released in October 1974 on Columbia Records in the USA. The poster features stunning artwork by M. Oikawa, with the artist's imprint to the bottom left corner. I believe Oikawa called the image "Immortal Butterfly". The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster is HUGE and measures a massive 72.5 x 102.7 cm (approx. 28.5″ by 40.4″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
