Fender FSR Made in Japan Traditional 60s Stratocaster Fiesta Red [3.45kg] [JD25032788]

The FSR (Fender Special Run) is a limited-edition model crafted with special specifications not found in the regular lineup.

This special model features Fender Custom Shop pickups, upgraded body materials, and other detailed changes.

Founded in the United States in 1945, Fender produced the Telecaster and Stratocaster, which are the prototypes of many electric guitars, as well as bass models such as the Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. 80 years later, the brand remains a leading player in the electric guitar industry, beloved by cutting-edge artists.

Fender is produced in the United States, Mexico for cost-effective models, and Japan.

Fender Japan, commonly known as "Fenjapa," was previously produced in Japan, but following a change in distributor in April 2015, it is now produced as part of the new "Fender Made in Japan" series.

This model is part of the "Traditional" series, the standard model for Japanese-made Fenders.
Under the supervision of Chris Fleming, a former master builder at the Fender Custom Shop and currently employed in Fender's research and development department, this series recreates instruments from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s, incorporating specifications that have changed over the years, all at affordable prices and using Japanese techniques that boast reliable manufacturing quality.

While the previous "Made in Japan Traditional" series used widely available basswood bodies to achieve cost performance, this model uses an alder body, which is primarily used for USA-made instruments and features a slightly rounded and resilient middle section.
The maple neck is slim but offers a good grip, and features the same 7.25-inch-radius fingerboard as the original.
The rosewood used for the fingerboard is a slab board, just like in the early 1960s, and is thicker than the round board used today, resulting in a fuller, sweeter tone.

While the headstock logo (decal) is usually applied beneath the paint, this one, like the Fender Custom Shop, is applied on top of the paint, making it appear to pop out depending on the light, a must-have for fans.

And the biggest feature of this model is the special edition Fender Custom Shop "Fat '50s" pickup.
This is a pricey pickup, retailing for 37,950 yen (tax included), and is a staple pickup found not only in '50s models but also in a variety of other Fender Custom Shop models.
It features an Alnico 5 magnet and the same cross wire and fiber bobbin as the '50s, with staggered pole pieces that have been hand-tuned.
Compared to conventional pickups, this pickup offers improved bass response, dynamic attack, and a more three-dimensional overall sound.

A Japanese-made Fender with authentic specs you've never seen before.
