Antique Meissen Figurine Tailor on the Billy Goat. Sometimes
Called the Welsh Tailor. In a gold-edged black hat and a long yellow colorful
floral skirt, he holds scissors in his raised right hand, and the reins in his
left hand. On the back there is a wooden vat with two baby goats. The Goat has an
iron in his mouth. 2 wine bottles draped over his shoulders. A ruler sticks out
of the tailor’s pocket. Great intricate details to everything. Made Late 1800’s
to very early 1900’s. Has the Meissen mark and Mold No. 171
Size: Shown against ruler or in hand or both in one picture to help you judge size. Measures approximately 9 ¼ inches tall and 3 1/8 by 5 ¾inches across the base.
Condition: Nice
