This is such a lovely quilt top, called a double-nine patch. Vintage hand- and machine-made, the blocks are all made by hand. The blocks are in the 1880's browns and rust fabrics with muslin. Measures 63X80" and is in excellent condition with a few minor spots, no stains, no holes, and no wear, however, there is one block that has one split, and next to it is a mark which I believe is from an ancient label when the fabric was sold. see photos. The green that is used is an antique fabric rescued from an old quilt top. The outside border is the only fabric that is new, it is one of those rich indigo Moda civil war repro fabrics. The piecing is nicely done with good stitches. Overall it is in excellent condition, It is CLEAN, and ready to use. Lovely! From a clean and smoke-free home.
