There was a sale in this fancy Neighbourhood in Gates Mills in Ohio. The person collected Piano stools as one of the things that they had and they were like 50 of them there I didn’t wind up going to the sale but later that yeah I found the only one that I would’ve wanted at an antique store so I wound up getting it in the end. I think it’s really lovely. The cost iron legs with a little bird head are interesting. The fitting for the seat has somebody’s name which I can’t really make out without removing it but it is dated 1878. The store is fixed. it will turn, but it won’t go up and down. It wasn’t made that way. It has a little bit of a wobble to it but I imagine he probably wouldn’t use that mattress more decorative if you wouldn’t wanna wear the lovely needlework out.
