A superb heavy solid silver dish or bowl. It is hallmarked with the 800 standard mark and Hanau (Germany) marks. I would date it to c1900. It has been superbly designed with the sides pierced with swags the centre decorated with cherubs and the corner decorated with what may be the Hanoverian Kings. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (22.5cm) across at its widest by 1.5 inches tall and weighs an impressive 360 grams. A well made rare piece.
