Vintage mid-century Black Forest–style carved wood wall plaque featuring an Alpine chalet and church landscape in dimensional relief. Layered carving, hand-applied color shading, and bell detail in the steeple create strong depth and visual interest.

Most commonly produced in West Germany and surrounding Alpine regions for export during the 1950s–1970s, these plaques were popular decorative pieces in cabins, lodges, and mid-century homes.

Mounted to a plywood back with original sawtooth hanger. Warm amber and brown stain with green accenting throughout the carved landscape.

Size: approx. 19” wide x 14” tall

Depth: approx. 1.5–2” at highest relief points

A classic rustic décor piece with strong lodge/cabin styling.

Good vintage condition with normal age wear. Light edge wear and minor finish variation consistent with age. Relief carving intact with no major structural damage. Back panel secure with original hanger.
