Offered is a matched set of two original 1933–1934 “A Century of Progress” Chicago World’s Fair ashtrays, produced as automotive promotional items for Chrysler Corporation during the Depression era.
These cast metal ashtrays feature Art Deco center medallions depicting the fair’s iconic buildings, celebrating modern design and industrial progress. Such pieces were distributed at the World’s Fair and through Chrysler, Dodge, and DeSoto dealerships as corporate advertising souvenirs.
