On offer here is this vintage model of a cross-section of a tulip stem made of rubber. 

39 cm tall by 17 cm x 15 cm.

Made in Hungary sometime in the 1950s-60s It was used in high school biology classes or botany classes in schools and universities. Very well made and vibrant hand painted finish this piece is a great decoration or collection item for botanists or just plant lovers.

It is a wonderful piece made by hand cast in fine detail in rubber and then handpainted. The model shows a tulip stem cut away in cross-section and other areas to show the inner workings of a plant stem as if magnified by a microscope the cuticle epidermis et cetera. I was lucky enough. They are original vintage 1960s school teaching aids. I do have other plant models in my eBay store please check them out. Can combine shipping if you’re interested in more than one item.

The condition is very good. The piece is quite large - it is 50cm high, 22cm wide and 19 cm deep.
