This Cartier Panthere Cougar is no exception, a slim and refined dress watch crafted entirely from solid 18ct Yellow Gold with an instantly recognisable aesthetic - a true statement piece on the wrist. It has an incredible factory blue lacquer diamond dial, very rare and sought after - it even has the matching diamond encrusted crown for added opulence. This reference is essentially the Panthere design but in a round case, it maintains the DNA of the square Panthere with the riveted bezel, short lugs, and Mallion bracelet. This reference 8879060 has a classically proportioned and feminine 26mm 18ct yellow gold case affixed with a matching and highly polished 18ct bezel. The lacquer diamond dial is eye catching with the factory diamond hour markers but remains refined. Despite being a style icon, it is also practical - the case is equipped with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and 30m water resistance. At the beating heart of the watch is a high precision Cartier signed quartz movement, which has just been serviced and will run for years without a second thought. The time and date can be changed using the diamond encrusted pull-out crown, which is interestingly set upside down, another Cartier classic. Attaching the case to the wrist is the original Cartier bracelet that boasts supreme comfort signed ‘Cartier 750’ with hallmarks.
As for the condition, this watch has just received a comprehensive service by Cartier in October 2025, and as such, has been returned to the best possible mechanical and cosmetic standards in terms of accuracy, aesthetics, and functionality. It remains in warranty until late 2027. In February 2026 we also decided to replace the crystal to ensure the watch is as close to perfect as possible, you won't find a better example anywhere.
