The Zodiac Astrographic, was marketed by ZODIAC as "Definitely not the watch you get after 20 years with the company." it was still the space age and the "new future", along with flying cars, was just around the corner and ZODIAC referred to the ASTROGRAPHIC SST as "the look of tomorrow" this watch, complete with its "mystery dial" was unlike anything on the market in the 1970s.

Like other advanced designs of the 1970s the ASTROGRAPHIC was ahead of the competition in design. The red orbiting dot presents the seconds and the tritium "dash hands" line up with the chapter ring to present minutes and  hours.

A true classic. The Zodiac "mystery dial" is a stunning design and great examples are still highly coveted by collectors and this example is as close to NOS as you can get. This watch is for the collector or the discerning wearer who wants a brilliant statement piece.

This Zodiac is in superlative condition. The caseback has a few light scratches. 

The dial is in superlative condition. The lume on the dial and hands have developed patina and aged to a creamy tone. The plates are in good condition and the dial is still a bold, strong blue.

The dial, case, crown, and movement are all signed by Zodiac.
