This coffee maker has a brushed steel housing, and a thermal stainless steel carafe that stays cool to the touch. So much so, that at first I thought that it wasn’t heating up, but inside, the coffee water was hot. It has a 24 inch cord for safety. 1050 watts, and 120 volts. Included in the unit is  a removable charcoal water filter holder for the water tank (charcoal filters not included), and a coffee filter holder, for either a metal mesh coffee filter, or paper filters.( Also not included). All of these, including the carafe and its lid have been cleaned. Note : The compartment lid  is pushed up slightly when the carafe is in place when not in use. When in use, the compartment lid stays down fully.
