This is a vintage reproduction of a "Marley Horse" statue, originally sculpted by Guillaume Coustou the Elder.

The original pair of sculptures, titled Chevaux de Marly (Marly Horses), were commissioned by King Louis XV of France in 1739 for the Château de Marly.

Depict rearing horses being restrained by groom,a dynamic blend of human control and raw power.
