This is an original & rare IBM Model 30 (model number 8530-021), manufactured in 1987, fully restored and functioning. It is a true piece of computing history — the successor to the IBM PC 5150 and part of the early IBM “Model” line.
The system has been disassembled, cleaned and reassembled with extra care. Now all are in pristine condition.
All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with high quality equivalents.
Floppy disk drive cleaned and lubricated with special new grease. Now it works just like new.
Replaced new CMOS battery.
The power supply, clock, and controllers have been tested and pass voltage & stability tests.
The system boots into DOS / original IBM diagnostics.
Old IBM ESDI HDD's are very unreliable, so there are instaled more modern ISA - CF card interface. Now we can forget old HDD's problems and enjoy of full functionality. It is easy to transfer files in CF card with nowadays modern machines too. In CF card are preinstalled IBM PC DOS 5.0 operating system with customized DOS shell file manager and many color skins. Some DOS games are here and You can easilly to add yours favourite games too. In old HDD's place mounted yellow HDD activity LED. Now it looks like real hardware and PC booting very smooth.
