The Attié people (Atyé, Akyé, Akié) are a population of Ivory Coast living in the south-east of the country, north of the city of Abidjan, particularly from the commune of Anyama, in the Lagunes region. The attractions speak a Kwa language of the same name, attité.
These people was part of one of the armed branches of the formidable ashantis that we nicknamed the pigs-epics. Indeed, the first Europeans who made their arrival on the Côte d'Or realized that people really did not want their visit and made them understand for more than two centuries that they were not welcome.
The Attié people are found in the prefectural departments of Akoupé, Adzopé, Alépé, (Kodioussou chief of rural commune) Affery, Agou, Assikoi, Bécédi-Brignan, Abié, Yakassemé, then around Abidjan in the sub-prefecture of Anyama.

The Akyé country is subdivided into cantons which are: the canton Ketté, the canton N'Gadié or N'kadzun, the Canton Attobrou, the Canton Kodioussou, the Canton Annapun and the Canton Tchoya (SSO).

In Akeyé country, we are talking about three large groups which are the Nindins, the Ketins and the Bodins. The Nindins are more concentrated in the region of Anyama and harsh, that is to say around Abidjan, while the Bodins are on the side of Adzopé, Yakasse-Attobrou, Kodioussou the village of (Judicael Adon) and the Ketins are on the side of Akoupé

These people are part of the Akan group and have around 350,000 people.
