Gouro are a Mandingo population of West Africa established mainly in the center-west of Côte d'Ivoire, around Bouaflé, [Zuénoula], Sinfra, Oumé, Vavoua and even Daloa., On the banks of the Bandama.
The Gouro people have never known a kingdom, they only practice chiefdom. The village chief is called Dììlî or Dùùtî.
Gouro are notably known for their masks, currently very colorful. They have long maintained very important rituals in which the masks intervene.
