Here's a 1970-72 Ampeg VT-22. Reverb, two channels of sonic greatness and versatility. The preamp offers great tone sculpting options. Presents well but does show some signs of use from over the years. Honest wear, not abuse. This was just serviced to great working order. All the filter capacitors replaced with quality materials. F&T were used to replace the majority of the original cans and CE Multi-section for the downstream filters. Very close to the original values although the wiring scheme is a little different. Operates wonderfully, with no excess noise. Really fantastic LOUD tone. No issues with the speakers. They have been checked for coil rub and other issues, checking out well. Nothing to report. They are Eminence from the 80s. Very similar to the original speakers, just later era. Grounded AC plug added. Auxillary AC outlet removed. Features a set of well testing tubes that sound fantastic. Older Mesa labeled USA GE or RCA 7027A power tubes, which are some of the most rugged ever made. Still testing very well Preamp tubes are a mix of newer production Groove tubes and others. The 12DW7 is vintage made in Great Britain.

Some of the V series amplifiers were fitted with a power transformer capable of being wired for European 220-240v. This is one of them. It can be easily wired internally for 220-240v power. We can do this at your request free of charge. Just ask. Don't take chances on underserviced vintage gear. This is a good one.

These mid 70s Ampegs are made popular by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone age and Kyuss fame. As well as the Rolling Stones and other notable players
