These are 12 mm x 230 mm ballpoint pens in an oversize wood pencil casing with 3 Pirelli logos in red on the yellow background next to the blue end. These were a road art advertising specialty made in the 1960's as a giveaway for the car/motorcycle tire manufacturer. Pirelli was founded in 1872, has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1922, and is the 6th largest tire manufacturer in the world with more than 6 billion in revenue in 2022. These ballpoint pens originally came from Cosmopolitan Motors, a motorcycle parts distributor that sold Pirelli tyres in Hatboro Pennsylvania. They are new old stock but cannot write and probably never did.

My name is Tony Schanz, I formerly ran DomiRacer Distributors in Cincinnati, Ohio buying and selling vintage English, Italian, & German motorcycle parts, tools, accessories & memorabilia. DomiRacer closed 6/11/2013, but I still deal in parts, motorbikes, decals, advertising, photos, posters, & more. Please add my store, The Real DomiRacer, to your favorite sellers and watch for other rarities in my future eBay listings.
