Beautiful vintage woven jacquard decorator fabric, thick and richly textured with a substantial weave. Features two neoclassical medallions depicting a ribbon-tied violin and floral sprays framed by laurel wreaths, surrounded by tiny scattered florals.
The fabric is all natural, likely cotton or a cotton-linen blend, in soft blue on a cream ground. The pattern is one-sided, with a smooth woven reverse.
Measures approximately 28” x 49” — suitable for one large pillow or two fronts.
From the estate of a New Hope, PA interior designer and antique dealer, with many fabrics from Brunschwig & Fils and Cowtan & Tout in her collection.
Likely produced in the 1970s–1980s, during a period when these mills specialized in fine European jacquards.
Condition: Excellent. Clean with no wear, stains, or holes.
One end may appear slightly discolored in photos — this is due to lighting only; color is even throughout in person.
