This bright and shiny more than One-Third of Ounce Sterling Silver coin was struck to commemorate the opening of the Parliament House in Canberra in 1927 (now known as Old Parliament House)

The reverse of the coin depicts Parliament House within an oval frame set above crossed scepters, with superimposed on the scepters is a raised oval with the date 1927; while the obverse features shortened version of the crowned and robed bust of George V
