On Sunday, April 18, 1965, Tug McGraw of the New York Mets made his MLB Debut vs. Willie Mays & the San Francisco Giants at Shea Stadium.


Tug McGraw entered this game in the top of the 8th with 1 out & the bases loaded! Tug McGraw struck out the very first batter he ever faced, 1967 NL MVP HOFer Orlando Cepeda!
