The BMW 328 was a sports car produced by BMW from 1936 to 1940. Its body design is credited to Peter Szymanowski, who became BMW’s chief of design after World War II (although technically the car was designed by Fritz Fiedler).
The BMW 328 Rennversion (Racing Version) refers to the competition-focused variants of the standard BMW 328 Roadster, which was a highly successful sports car produced between 1936 and 1940. These special racing cars were developed by the BMW works team to dominate the 2-liter class in motorsport events during the late 1930s.

Motorsport

·         The 328 was introduced at the Eifelrennen race at the Nürburgring in 1936, where Ernst Henne drove it to victory in the 2.0-litre class

·         The 328 had more than 100 class wins in 1937, including the RAC Tourist Trophy, the Österreichische Alpenfahrt, and the La Turbie hillclimb.

·         In 1938, the 328 won its class at the RAC Tourist Trophy, the Alpine Rally, and the Mille Miglia.

·         In 1939, the 328 won the RAC Rally and a successful performance of the BMW 328 sports car at the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans, where three 328s finished 5th (#26 Touring coupe), 7th, and 9th (#27 and 28 roadsters) overall, securing a class win and marking BMW's first top-5 finish at the event, showcasing the lightweight roadster's excellent pre-war motorsport pedigree.

·         In 1940, the 328 Touring Coupé won the Mille Miglia with an average speed of 166.7 km/h (103.6 mph), and Frank Pratt won the Australian Grand Prix.

·         In 2004, the BMW 328 Mille Miglia Touring Coupé became the first car to win both the Mille Miglia (1940) and the modern-day classical version of the race. 

FROM MY VIEWPOINT, as a collector, this AMAZING model of a car by the iconic marque, brought by one of the best brands on the 1/43 scale market, is impressively detailed and well-executed.
·         It offers high value for money and stands as a worthy competitor (if not surpassing) brands like Minichamps, Kyosho, and other brands in the high-quality market segment.
•     Certainly, this model would be a great addition to an exquisite model car collection by a discriminating collector, particularly interested in sports cars, and it is a must-have for BMW aficionados.  
•     Last but not least, it is an eye-catcher indeed.
