This is a meerschaum tobacco pipe featuring a carved horse, housed in its fitted case.  Meerschaum is a rare, soft, white mineral (sepiolite) found primarily in Turkey. Its porous nature allows it to absorb moisture and tar, providing a cool, dry smoke.  Over time, the pipe develops a prized patina, changing color from white to amber or deep brown. The case text indicates the pipe is guaranteed genuine meerschaum. The pipe appears to be in very good condition. The case has worn off leather mostly on the sides with scuffs on the main body of the case. The latch is not working to keep it shut.  Previously to listening this the latch was working so maybe it  needs a minor adjustment?  Please refer to the photos as they are part of the description.
