This item is a Kato N Gauge 1:160 Scale Custom Painted SOO Soo Line EMD GP50 Diesel Locomotive, 176-040, in the original box with parts/instruction sheet. Engine was made in Japan in 1993, carries cab number 4403, is standard DC operation, and has Rapido-style couplers.  Engine has been run, but shows no signs of use other than wheel wear. Engine has directional lighting, which works perfectly as shown in photo. In short, back and forth test run, engine ran perfectly - very smooth and quiet. Engine has sat in its box for quite a while, so could use a thorough cleaning and lube job.  Compatible with all N gauge brands: MTL, Atlas, Athearn, Bachmann, Walthers, Deluxe Innovations, Buford Shops.
