Antique Carved wooden Kundu or ceremonial drum with a wooden handle carved from the same wood as the body of the drum in the form of a Crocodile, incised tribal designs on the Croc, raised linear designs around the middle of the drum, which is well handled with signs of field use. Collected in the 1960s in the lower Sepik River region, Papua New Guinea, and was in a private New York collection since 1980.

The drum measures 26.5 inches tall x 7 inches wide.
