Offered here is a 14 ¾” tall by 3 ¾” wide Pillin vase. The vase is from the 1960’s. It is signed W + P Pillin, recognizing the potter and decorative
artist. The structurally sound pottery
was broken and professionally restored. Production
flaws consist of a few small pinholes in the glaze and base issues shown in the
last picture. First is a horizontal
grinding mark (removing extra glaze ) the other near the top of the picture is
a sizeable stilt pull. The small white spots on the base are dings in the black
glaze. Picture 8 shows a tiny edge glaze
ding (1mm) in the 3 o’clock position. There are small
clear glaze dings and a few short superficial scratches.
